Important Notice for Residents in Martha Cove:

OptiComm has recently ceased the transmission of Free-to-Air TV over their fibre network in some parts of Martha Cove and Safety Beach. To restore TV reception, residents must now apply for approval to install a traditional digital antenna.

By completing the form below, you authorise us to submit the required application to your body corporate and assist with antenna installation as soon as it’s approved.

After completing the below form, we will:

1. Assess your property and determine the best location to install an antenna on the rooftop (Note: we may or may not drive by your premises to assess the best position for the antenna).

2. Contact your body corporate on your behalf, seeking approval for a new antenna installation at the location we have deemed the best location as per 1 above.

3. We will liaise with the body corporate and architect to attain approval for the antenna location proposed above, or any other location agreed with the body corporate/architect.

4. Once approval is granted, we will contact you to provide you with a fixed price quotation to complete the required works. Note this may require an onsite visit to determine cable pathways and to gather other information.

5. Completing this form does not result in any fees or charges payable. This is 100% free of charge.

Terms of Request 

As per Martha Cove Design Approval Application Form Redevelopment (Minor Works - TV Aerial, Satellite Dishes)

1. No work or commitment to work will be made until approval has been issued by the Owners Corporation via the Design Review Committee (DRC).
2. Owners or tenants of the Lot must obtain the approval of the Lot Owner in writing prior to submission of this form. Evidence of Owners’ Approval is required.
3. All work will be carried out, and all maintenance and upkeep will be at the expense of the Applicant.
4. All work shall be carried out expeditiously and in a workmanlike manner by a licensed contractor.
5. Where approval is sought to alter common property the Owners Corporation may require a license/lease agreement over the affected property.
6. All work will be performed at a time and in a manner to minimize interference and inconvenience to other lot owners.
7. The Applicant accepts all liability and will be responsible for all damage and/or injury which may result from the performance of this work.
8. The Applicant is responsible for the conduct of all persons, agents, contractors, and employees connected with this work.
9. The work must not unreasonably disrupt the quiet enjoyment of other lot owners or occupiers or impede reasonable access to, or the use of, any other lot or common property.
10. The Applicant is hereby notified that this approval does not override any further requirements or permits to comply with any standards or regulations of State or Local Authorities nor the Building Code of Australia. The Owners Corporation, its Committee, and Managers are not responsible for ensuring legal compliance.
11. This Approval expires within 180 days of the written approval, and the Application must be re-submitted to the Owners Corporation via the DRC Process Application above.
12. The Owners’ Corporation, via the DRC, and under the Owners Corporation Rules, Owners Corporation Act 2006 and Regulations, will act on this request and provide the written approval of the decision or request further information. Approved Stamped Plans and Final Approval will be issued once all items are satisfactorily completed.
13. The DRC are required to carry out a Final Inspection of the installation. Please contact the DRC to arrange the Inspection and final sign off of the works.
